C-4 Using DOS Programs
The game icon or a generic Windows icon appears on the
screen with the name of the game.
To specify that the game is to run in MS-DOS mode,
proceed as follows:
1.
Right click the new game icon.
2.
Select “Properties” from the menu that appears.
3.
Click the Program Tab to put it on top.
4.
Press the Advanced button.
5.
Select MS-DOS mode. Under MS-DOS mode:
Select “Specify a new MS-DOS configuration.”
Press the
Configuration
button.
If a warning message appears and indicates that
currently entered data will replace existing data,
simply press the
Yes
button to continue.
6.
Press the
OK
button to select the default MS-DOS
configuration options. The correct default options
appear automatically.
7.
Press the
OK
button again to accept the Advanced
settings. Press
OK
again to complete the process.
Check your game by double clicking the game icon to start
the game. A message warns you that all other programs will
shut down while running in MS-DOS mode and asks you to
verify that you want to do so. Press
Yes
to run the game.
