Option - A

Connect TG506 Transducer
<
From PROBE Menu, Select SINGLE or DUAL transducer
<
Press PROBE ID Key - The gage will recognize the attached transducer ad select the
appropriate transducer from the list.

Press ZERO/ECHO front panel key. The gage will display the screen to the right, requesting
you to place the probe on the ZERO Disc and then pressing the ENTER key.

From this point, place the transducer on a thickness representing the upper limit of thickness
to be expected. Place it on the 0.500" step in this case and verify the gage reads 0.500. If it
close adjust the VEL to adjust to exact material velocity.
Option - B

Connect TG506 Transducer

From MAIN Menu, Select SETUP and PICK the appropriate transducer from the list

Press ZERO/ECHO front panel key. The gage will display the screen to the right, requesting
you to place the probe on the ZERO Disc and then pressing the ENTER key.

From this point, place the transducer on a thickness representing the upper limit of thickness
to be expected. Place it on the 0.500" step in this case and verify the gage reads 0.500. If it
close adjust the VEL to adjust to exact material velocity.
Set range to desired range. For instance, if the material is expected to be no thicker than ½" nominal
than a range of 0.75" would be an appropriate range to start with.
