Host ID
A host ID identifies a single device within a particular network ID and corresponds
to the numbers in the last block of the IP address.
To be able to communicate with each other under TCP/IP Network, the AP and the
stations must be in the same domain. To put them in the same domain, make the
first three blocks of the stations IP address the same as the Access Point IP address
and change only the figures in the last block, i.e., 192.168.1.n (where n = a number
from 1 to 254 which is not already in use in this domain). Detailed instructions on
changing the IP address of the AP are given in AP Setting, on page 30.

Assigning a Subnet Mask to the AP
The AP and stations on the same local network must be assigned the same subnet
mask. The AP default subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 Detailed instructions on

Using the APMS Tool
Click
Start/Programs/InstantWave AP/AP Management System.
