4.4.4.
Aligning tailstock to spindle
Insert a gauge bar between the spindle and tailstock, attach the base of a test indicator
to the saddle, apply the stylus of the indicator to the surface of the bar, then move the saddle
through the full longitudinal travel. Take the measurement of its maximal difference for later
adjustment.
Release the fixing screw 1 and adjust the adjusting screw 2 to fine the alignment.
4.4.5.
Adjusting belt tension of spindle
The belt is power transmission from Spindle motor to Spindle.
The new belt tension between Main Motor to Spindle should be 6.15 mm elastic length when
pressed by 8 kg force. After a period of time, if the belt turned looser, adjust the belt to be
6.15 mm by 8 kg.
For adjusting belt tension, follow the following steps:
1.
Loosen the screw 2.
2.
Tighten the screw 1 on the motor base till the belt tension is 6.15 mm by 8 kg.
3.
Re-tighten the screw 2.
