Chapter 7: 5945 Operation and Security Key Loading

Key Loading

This menu will allow Working Keys to be loaded into the 5945.  

The NCR 5945 K150 and K350 allow KEK (master) or UKPT keys to be
injected in the field.  This is possible by utilizing the “KEYFAC”
Injection system available from IVI-Checkmate Electronics.  Contact
your NCR Representative to information.

Press 2 at the SETUP menu to display the following KEY LOAD
METHOD menu. Then select the method by pressing 1, 2, or 3.

KEY LOAD METHOD

0=Exit  1=Kpd  2=MSR  3=Com

If Key Loading from the Keypad

Key ID = 

nn

0=Exit  1=Change  2=Accept

After selecting the Key ID the Working Key can be entered.

Note:

 

A valid Key Exchange Key must already be loaded into the

5945 for the selected Key ID in order to load the Working Key.
