Connecting the Unit
to Power
Before plugging in the AC/DC power adapter to
an AC wall outlet, make sure that the voltage of
your electricity supply is the same as that indi
cated on the rating plate or power adapter.
Battery Backup
Battery backup will preserve the current time,
alarm settings, and stored radio stations in the
case of power failure or interrupted AC power.
The LED display will remain off until power has
been restored.
Insert two UM-4 batteries {AAA) into the bat
tery compartment. Be sure to observe the

proper polarity {the"+" and"-" signs) as indi
cated inside the battery compartment.
Setting the Clock
Make sure the power is off before setting the
clock time. {Press and hold c!> to turn off the
power and place the unit in Standby mode.)
1. Press and hold <9 until the display begins
to flash.
Press the 1+1 {HOUR) button to adjust
the hour. {Take note of the PM indi
cator when setting the hour.)
Press the
-.1
{MIN) button to adjust
the minutes.
2. Press <9. The year will start to flash.
