2. iCN Features
We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the iCN’s basic operations, such as using the
8-way toggle and Volume button.
Some buttons have two functions, and specific features vary between iCN models.
Front Components
Component Description
1 Screen Displays maps and menu options

Infrared Receiver * Receives signals from the remote control
3 OK Confirms the selected menu option, text or preference
4 Zoom/Brightness
Changes the amount of map area shown, or press and hold to adjust
the screen brightness
5 ESC
Cancels an action, returns to the previous screen or deletes the
last text character on the
Keyboard screen; hold down for longer to
delete a whole line at once.

8-Way Toggle
Selects Main Menu options, keyboard characters and Preferences,
moves around the 2D Map screen to select a destination, and scrolls
through lists, such as lists of search results.

Cycles through the
2D Map
,
3D Map **
,
Next Turn
and
Next 4 Turns
screens; displays additional preference or search-result screens,
when available.
8
Volume
Broadcasts the next voice-guidance instruction and adjusts voice-
guidance volume.
9 Menu/Power Displays the Main Menu screen and turns the iCN on and off.
