Avoid locations subjected to excessive shock or vibration.
•
Make sure that the GPS receiver is within 10 m (33ft) of the PDA.
•
The GPS receiver is not waterproof - mount it where it will not get wet (including condensation).

Powering the Bluetooth GPS receiver

To power the Bluetooth GPS receiver plug the vehicle power charger cable into the external power supply
connector on the GPS receiver.

Plug the Vehicle Power Cable into your vehicle cigar socket.

Option 1 : Using the Suction Mount

Find a suitable location for the receiver (see section 4-1).

Use the alcohol swab provided to thoroughly clean the windshield where the suction cup will be mounted. Do not
touch the windshield after it is cleaned.

Do not touch the bare suction cup surface. Press the suction cup

rmly onto the windshield, then press down the
lever on the base. Slide the receiver into the mounting bracket.

Option 2 : Using the Non-Slip Pad

The GPS receiver has a non-slip pad so it can just sit on your vehicle dash or back parcel shelf

Find a suitable location (see above) and place the receiver with the non-slip pad against the surface.
Tip: It is recommended
that the 3 AAA batteries
are installed at all times,
even when powering
the GPS 4100 from the
vehicle power charger.
If the vehicle has an
athermic (heat re

or heated windshield,

t an external GPS
antenna (see Section

Accessories).
Note: the inside bottom
of the windscreen is
usually a good location
for the GPS receiver.
To remove the suction
cup, pull the lever up.
Release the suction cup
by using the release tab.
