Interface Installation
1.
Locate the SYNC 3 radio tuner. For pickup trucks,
this should be located
behind the climate panel,
beneath the screen.
2.
Connect the provided plug & play ACM harness in
between the factory harness and the 24-PIN plug at
the ACM (radio tuner) outlined here (right):

No other wired connections are required for a basic install. If adding a reverse camera,
the
purple wire
outputs 12v
in reverse only
for power to camera.
4.
Behind the APIM (screen), disconnect the
3”
OEM
LVDS cable which connects the (2) halves (LCD to
APIM). This short cable will no longer be used
(keep in case of returning to factory in the future).
5.
Connect the provided VIDEO-IN cable from the
‘VIDEO IN’ port on the module to the upper
blue
port
on the APIM.
6.
Connect the provided VIDEO-OUT cable from the
‘VIDEO OUT’ port on the module to the lower
beige
port
on the OEM LCD.
7.
Connect the blue end of the provded cable to port LVDS port on the SYNC3-RVC
interface.
8.
Connect the reverse camera (if added) and front camera (if applicable) to the proper
RCAs (RVC:
‘CAMERA’ and FVC: ‘CVBS IN’)
