With a plastic panel tool, pry up and remove the lower console panel that houses the
radio control knob. Disconnect all harnesses and carefully pass the shifter knob through
the wider portion of where the boot was seated:

Remove the dash panel starting at the passenger side, pry carefully with panel tools.
This panel can be removed as one piece with the cluster surround, or the cluster
surround could be removed first.
Note: the cluster surround connects to the top half of
the steering wheel shroud.
