(c) Obtain the standby ac-dc power supply (U3, Nautel Part # UG50 from the Vector-LP
standby side kit.
(d) Use four (4) M3 screws (Nautel Part # HMPSP09F) from the Vector-LP standby side kit to
secure the ac-dc power supply to the four pillars to the right of U2. Position U3 in the
same orientation as U2 (see Figure 4).
(e) Connect P4 to the multi-pin header on the top of U3.
(f) Connect P6 to the multi-pin header on the bottom of U3.
(g) Secure the rear cover removed in step 2.2 (a) using retained hardware.
2.3 Installing the Standby Interphase PDM Driver PWB (A9)
(a) Open the transmitter’s front door by opening the door latch using a flat-head screw driver.
(b) Remove and retain the seven (7) M3 screws securing the interphase PDM driver cover.
See Figure 5.

(c) Obtain the interphase PDM driver PWB (A9, Nautel Part # NAPM11*) from the Vector-LP
standby side kit.
(d) Connect the interphase PDM driver PWB’s D-sub connector P1 to J10 of the exciter
interface PWB. See Figure 6.
(e) Secure the interphase PDM driver PWB to the four M3 pillars using four (4) M3 screws
(Nautel Part # HMPSP09F) from the Vector-LP standby side kit.
NOTE
Adjustments to the PWB may be required later in the procedure. Do not install the interphase
driver PWB cover until the end of this field modification.
