The FX Unit Assign button lights up brightly.
You can assign both FX Units to any Mixer channel at a time.
Controlling FX Units
On the S4 the FX Units reflect the current FX Unit configuration in TRAKTOR. To control the FX
Units:
1.
Turn the FX Unit knobs 1 - 4 clockwise or counterclockwise to change the corresponding Ef-
fect parameter.
The FX Unit knobs in the software change accordingly.
2.
Press the FX Unit
ON
buttons 1 - 4 to enable or disable the corresponding Effect parameter.
The FX Unit
ON
buttons brightly light up on the S4 and in the software.
If the FX Unit is operated in Group FX mode in the software, the FX Unit
ON
button 1 on the S4
has no effect. The FX Unit
ON
button remains dimmed.
Displaying FX Units in the TRAKTOR Software
You can control the FX Units in the software from the S4, with or without displaying the FX Units in
the software. However, it can be helpful to display the FX Units in the software for getting instant
feedback about the selected Effects and the individual parameters.
To display the FX Units in the TRAKTOR software:
1.
In TRAKTOR, select
Extended
from the Layout drop-down menu to display the Global sec-
tion.
2.
In the Global section, click the
FX
buttons on the far left and far right to display the FX Units
1 and 2.
7.14. Adding Tracks to the Preparation List
In TRAKTOR's Browser you can prepare for your next mix by adding tracks to it's Preparation List.
In TRAKTOR you can do this by tagging the selected track in the Track List. The track is then add-
ed to the Preparation List. When you select the Preparation List in the Browser, you are then provi-
ded with all the tracks contained in the Preparation List. On your S4 you can add the selected
track in the Track List to the Preparation List using the Preparation List buttons on the S4 Decks.
