Some SCXI modules permit random scanning. Does the
SCXI-1350/1531 permit random scanning?
Yes. Random scanning is described in Chapter 2,
.
Which accessories can I use to connect signals to the front of the
SCXI-1530/1531?
BNC jacks are built into the front of the module. No accessories, such as
terminal blocks, are needed.
Which type of coaxial cable should I use to connect accelerometers to
the BNC connectors on the front of the SCXI-1530/1531?
Since the SCXI-1530/1531 has high-impedance inputs, it places no
restriction on the characteristic impedance of accelerometer cables. Use the
coaxial cable recommended by the accelerometer manufacturer.
How do I calculate the maximum permitted scan rate when using one
or more SCXI-1530/1531 modules in multiplexed mode?
The minimum scan time is 8
µ
s + 3
µ
s (N – 1) where N is the number of
SCXI-1530/1531 channels to scan. The maximum scan rate is 1 divided by
the minimum scan time.
Can I externally scan clock an SCXI-1530/1531 module as I would an
SCXI-1140 module?
No.
How do I synchronize multiple SCXI-1530/1531 modules in
multiplexed mode so all channels are sampled simultaneously?
In LabVIEW, all modules with S/S capability that are included in a channel
string array are automatically synchronized.
Can I use the SCXI-1530/1531 with VirtualBench? Measure?
Yes.
Does the 8
µµµµ
s constant used to determine the scanning rate depend on
the number of bits of precision of the DAQ device?
No.
