Hardware Configuration

I-SATA Connectors: I-SATA0–I-SATA5

The ICH10R south bridge supports six Serial ATA connectors (I-SATA0–I-SATA5).

SATA connectors are high-speed Serial ATA interface ports. Each supports Serial ATA data rates
of 300 MB/s. All connectors are fully compliant with Serial ATA 2.0 specifications. Each Serial
ATA connector can connect to one hard disk.

Figure B-25 shows the I-SATA0–I-SATA5 connector.

Hard Disk Installation

Caution

Before removing or installing a hard disk drive, be sure the NI RMC-8354

is powered off and not connected to AC power.

Follow these steps to install a hard disk drive:
1.

Press the release tab to release the SCA drive tray from its locking position.

Pull the SCA drive tray out from the chassis, as shown in Figure B-26.
