REMOVING THE ARM SKIN AND VEINS
A.
To remove the skin from the arm core, open the shoestring at the top of the arm.
B.
Remove the inlet and outlet tubes from the arm skin.
C.
Coat the exterior skin lightly with the lubricant and strip off the skin so that it will be inside out when
you finish.
(See figure 1.)
Note:
If you are replacing the skin and the veins, simply cut the skin free from the arm core using
scissors and discard. If replacing only the veins, pull the skin down only far enough to expose the
veins without removing the skin completely from the fingers. This will make it easier to pull the skin
back on when finished.
D.
Remove the foam shoulder injection pad.
(See figure 2.)
E.
Remove the bicep muscle located over the manifold.
F.
Remove the old “veins” from the grooves, unplug them from the manifold, and discard them.
G.
If needed, clean the arm core with soap and water.

B.
Plug one end of tubing into fitting #1.
(See figure 4 –
Red
.)
Note:
A small amount of lubricant or water will make it easier to slide the tubing over the connector.
Also, the plastic wrap around the tubing may need to be pulled back from the end of the tubing 1/2". Work
the tubing completely into the channel over the back of the arm, around the third finger from the inside,
and back over the arm in the same channel. Connect the end of the tubing into fitting #4. Veins may be
trimmed with scissors if necessary for a good fit; just make sure that the connector block is back in its
correct location within the core and that the tubing is not kinked, pinched, or too tightly stretched. Slight
pinching in the finger area is normal and will not obstruct blood flow.
REPLACING THE VEIN TUBING
A.
Figure 3 shows how the four vein tubing sections should
be connected to the connector block. The tube fittings are
not shown.
Note:
All diagrams have been color coded for illustration
purposes only. The latex veins you received with your kit are
all the same color and length and may be used inter-
changeably.

G.
Feed the inlet/outlet tubing through the skin to the outside.
H.
Adjust the skin over the upper shoulder and retie the lace to hold it in position. Rinse the lubricant
from the skin with warm water.
If the skin stretches slightly during use, it can be tightened by retying the lace.
