                                  Remote control

7-11

SADT b

This setting command sets the detector for Analyzer Mode. The argument (b) should
be a index representing the detetector as follows:

o

Peak

o

Avg

o

Rms

The reply is

SADT =OK

 which acknowledges the command has been granted or

SADT =SERR

if the command has been ignored.

Example:

# SADT 1*

 sets the detector to Peak for Analyzer Mode

SAFD

This setting command sets the parameters for Analyzer mode with the following
sintax:

#SAFD f_start [Hz];f_stop [Hz];det;hold_t [s];rbw_id;att
[dB];preAmp[Off/On];preSel[Off/On]; PulseLim[Off/On]*

ER9000 replies

 AFD=OK

or

  AFD=ERR code

Note: "-1" in att field means automatic attenuator
WARNING: The expected number of steps (given by the selected span and RBW)
must be in the range [50;500e3]. If this range is not respected, AFD=ERR 4 is
replied.

Example

:#SAFD 5e6;15e6;P;0;8;10;OFF;OFF;OFF*

  sets the Analyzer mode from

5 to 15 MHz, with peak detector and lowest hold time, 30 kHz RBW filter, 10 dB input
attenuator; Preamplifier, Preselector and Pulse limiter disabled.

SAFF start,stop

This setting command sets both Start and Stop frequency for Analyzer mode. The
strings (Start and Stop) can be in exponential form and should be expressed in Hz.
The reply is

AFF=OK

 which acknowledges the command has been granted or

AFF

=SERR

if the command has been ignored.

Example:

#SAFF 150e3,30e6*

 Sets the Start frequency to 150kHz and Stop

frequency to 30MHz for Analyzer mode

SAGO

This setting command puts the ER9000 in Analyzer mode. The reply is always

SAGO=OK,

 which acknowledges the command has been granted, followed by an

array, variable in size, representing the reply. Please refer to

“Analyzer Reply

”

section for details of the response.
The ER9000 goes to Analyzer mode.

Example:

#SAGO*

SAHT h

This setting command sets hold time for Analyzer mode. The string (h) should be
expressed in ms. The reply is

AHT=OK

 which acknowledges the command has been

granted or

AHT =SERR

if the command has been ignored.

Example:

#S AHT  1500*

 Sets the hold time, for Analyzer mode, to 1500 ms (or 1.5s)
