HOW TO OPERATE THE APPLIANCE
• Install the plastic distance guide (the part with black vanes at the
rear) by turning it 90° (as shown in the figure) to prevent the
condenser from touching the wall.
• The refrigerator should be placed against a wall with a free
space not exceeding 75 mm.
Before Using your Fridge
•
W hen using your fridge for the first time, or after transportation, keep it in an upright
position for at least 3 hours before plugging into the mains. This allows efficient
operation and prevents damage to the compressor.
•
Your fridge may have a smell when it is operated for the first time. This is normal and
the smell will fade away when your fridge starts to cool.
Thermostat Setting
• The thermostat automatic ally
regulates the inside temperature of
the refrigerator compartment and
freezer compartment. By rotating the
knob from position 1. to 5., colder
temperatures can be obtained.
• « • » position shows thermostat is closed and no cooling will take place.
• For short-term storage of food in the freezer compartment, you can set the knob
between minimum and medium positions (1-3).
• For long-term storage of food in the freezer compartment, you can set knob to the
medium position (3-4).
Note that:
The ambient temperature, temperature of the freshly stored food and how
often the door is opened, affects the temperature in the refrigerator compartment. If
required, change the temperature setting.
• When you first switch on the appliance, leave the appliance running continuously for
24 hours in order to reach operating temperature.
• During this time, try to limit the number of times that the door is opened and do not
store a large quantity of food in the appliance.
• If the unit is switched off or unplugged, you must allow at least 5 minutes before
restarting or plugging the unit in. This avoids damage to the compressor.
• The freezer of the refrigerator can cool up to -18°C .
• This appliance is designed for use at an ambient temperature within the 16°C - 32°C
range.
