28. Press the Stop button.
29. Press the Injection button and prime water through the injection head.
30. When completed, press the Stop button and flush the injection head.
31. Set the BPO recirculation valve to recirculation.
32. Set the metering pump selector to
BPO Catalyst
.
33. Set the BPO tank regulator to a starting pressure of about 15 psi (1 bar).
34. With all material containers properly filled and mixed, press the
Recirculation button.
35. Slowly increase the pump regulator so that the pump strokes slowly and evenly.
36. Check that there is resin returning to the source through the recirculation hose.
37. Place the purge tube over an appropriate container and set the BPO recirculation valve to
Purge.
38. Check to make sure BPO flows from the purge tube, then return the valve to the closed
position.
39. Allow the pump to recirculate until the flow of resin back to the container is free of bubbles.
40. Press the
Stop button to take the unit out of recirculation mode.
41. Test the catalyst and resin to the injection head by placing a suitable container under the
head and pressing the Inject button.
42. After 4 or 5 strokes, press Stop .
43. Properly dispose of the test catalyst and resin.
44. Flush the injection head as necessary into an appropriate container.
Performing Daily Tasks
Daily Start Up
1. Check the unit for damaged or worn parts.
2. Check for leaking around fittings and weep hole on gun blocks; tighten packing nuts as
needed.
3. Check and fill materials as necessary to complete the job.
4. Check and fill the pump packing nut with the TSL oil as needed.
5. Properly mix resin as recommended by manufacturer.
6. Properly mix the BPO in the pressure tank – first by hand to remove any settling and then by
using the pressure tank mixer.
7. Mix BPO thoroughly before adding the BPO to the pressure tank.
Note Fill the catalyst tank at least ¾ full. When using the mixer on the pressure tank
be sure not to mix too fast as this can whip air into the material. Allow some
time to pass before recirculation BPO after over mixing. Do not leave the
pressure tank mixer running while the unit is running.
