Initial battery charging
Perform the initial charge of the bat-
tery according to the instruction
sheet enclosed in its package.
Assembling the battery
Insert the motorcycle key in the rear
lock. Rotate the key clockwise while
lifting the pillion.
Remove the pillion as shown in the
figure.
Rotate the driver’s saddle catch as
shown in the figure.

Lift the driver’s saddle and remove
it.
Insert the battery in its proper com-
partment.
WARNING
The initial battery charging
must be performed before
assembling the battery on
the vehicle.
Assembling the battery terminals
Fit the 2 positive terminals (+) on the
corresponding battery pole, respec-
ting their disposition as shown in the
figure. Pay attention to the colours
of the cables in order to correctly
place them.
Rotate the positive terminals screw
and tighten it at the prescribed tor-
que by using a dynamometric key.
Tightening torque: 7 ÷ 8 Nm

Afterwards, fit the protective cap
on the positive pole (see figure).
Fit the 2 negative terminals (-) on
the corresponding battery pole,
respecting their disposition as
shown in the figure.
Rotate the negative terminals screw
and tighten it at the prescribed tor-
que by using a dynamometric key.
Tightening torque: 7 ÷ 8 Nm
CAUTION: Before tightening
the screw, make sure that
the cables are correctly pla-
ced (see figure on the rever-
se side of this sheet).
WARNING: When the
assembly operations have
been completed, make sure
that the positive terminal
cable is placed within the
rear frame (see figure).
Replace the driver’s saddle and the
pillion by inversely performing the
operations described in the phases
from 2 to 5 .
