Q: What is the Encompass LE2?
A: The Encompass LE2 is the newest version of our primary satellite delivery solution,
providing a full range of content options and amazing flexibility and control.
Q: Is the original Encompass LE still available to order?
A: Wegener, our Encompass LE manufacturer, will no longer produce the original LE
receiver. As of November 2007, the LE was replaced by the LE2.
Q: What are the primary differences between the Encompass LE and the new LE2?
A: Besides the silver casing, the Encompass LE2 changes are:
1.
Audio storage is standard in every LE2.
2.
There is one output zone on the LE2.
3.
There is no RF output (audio pass-thru) to allow for cascading receivers. An
external splitter must be used.
4.
The LCD screen has the capability of displaying “What’s Playing Now”. This
function will be available through the new Encompass LE2 Control System, to be
introduced early 2008.
5.
Added option of zone identification (i.e.: “Bar”) on the LCD screen.
Q: What is different about the audio storage in the LE2?
A: The LE2 comes factory-equipped with audio storage for Voice message storage and
rain fade protection.
Q: How many minutes of audio storage can the LE2 hold?
A: The storage card can hold up to 60 minutes of content, with a factory setting at 30
minutes of Voice messaging and 30 minutes of music for rain fade protection. This
setting can be modified in 15-minute intervals. For example, a client could have 45
minutes of rain fade and 15 minutes of Voice storage.
Q: How often is the rain fade music updated?
A: Daily, at 4PM EST.
Q: How many music zones does the Encompass LE2 support?
A: The LE2 supports one zone of music. To add zones in a location, simply install
additional LE2 receivers.
Q: Which of the two RCA output jacks do I use?
A: Either of the RCA outputs can be used to provide music to the designated amplifier. If
your amplifier requires two inputs, both LE2 outputs can be used. You may also
