ATTENTION: Before activating the alarm Stop function, determine the cause of
the smoke emissions and ensure that there is no further danger.
DANGER: If the alarm sounds (and it is not being tested), this means that the de-
vice has detected smoke. WHEN THE ALARM SOUNDS, YOU MUST GIVE IT YOUR
IMMEDIATE ATTENTION AND TAKE APPROPRIATE ACTION.
Combustion particles, which may also be caused by cooking, may trigger an
alarm if the device is located near a cooker. It is common for large quantities of
combustion particles and smoke to be generated during cooking. If the system
issues an alarm, first check whether there is actually a fire. If you do discover a
fire, call the fire service. If there is no fire, check whether one of the causes men-
tioned above could have triggered the alarm.
Test
Press the test button on the front panel after
mounting the device. The fast flashing of
the red LED alarm indicator and the acoustic
signal confirm that the smoke detector is
working properly. You have now activated
the silent operation mode with lower sensi-
tivity, which will be automatically switched
to normal operating mode after approx. 9
minutes. Alternatively, press the test button again to switch modes directly. You
can find an overview of the various statuses and their characteristics here:

The LED (red) flashes approx. every 5 minutes, no
alarm signal

nuously

43 seconds and ends after 24 hours.

given, the warning buzzer buzzes three times
approx. every 43 seconds
Note on the alarm memory
The alarm memory will alert you, when an alarm has occurred in your absence.
The green flashing LED indicates, that the smoke detector has been triggered.
As soon as you press the test button, the smoke detector emits a special beep,
which differs from the alarm sounds. When the button is released, the alarm me-
mory is reset. Press the test button again to return to the normal alarm mode.
