How to Connect to the Instrument
The AT4039EML and have two PC interfaces: USB and Ethernet. The USB interface is
only for changing the IP address of the instrument and for downloading boot loader and
firmware. One cannot interface with the GUI through USB.
The Ethernet interface is used to interface with the GUI and APIs running on a Windows
or Linux system. Ethernet may also be used to change the IP address and update the
firmware as well.
NOTE.
This release supports Ethernet connection for the software applications (note that
the IP

should be in the same range of the network).
How to Change IP Address and Update Firmware
The AT4039EML has two PC interfaces: USB and Ethernet. The USB interface is only for
changing the IP address of the instrument and for updating firmware. One cannot
interact with the GUI through USB.
The Ethernet interface is used to interact with the GUI and APIs running on a Windows
or Linux system. Ethernet may also be used to change the IP address and update the
firmware as well.
IP Address Changing on AT4039EML
In order to change the IP address of the AT4039EML the “ML Maintenance” GUI is used.
The IP can be changed via Ethernet cable or via USB cable as showing below:
Using Ethernet cable:

Download the ML Maintenance Application from the ML website

Connect to your instrument using the IP address
3-
Click on “IP Configuration” to substitute the old IP with the new desired one

Do not enable compatibility mode

Power cycle the instrument
