Extending the Ba>ery Life
Ac[ve applica[ons screen brightness levels, Bluetooth and Wi-‐Fi usage and GPS
func[onality can drain your ba+ery. You can follow the helpful [ps below to conserve your
ba+ery power:
• Reduce the screen backlight [me.
• Lower the screen brightness.
• Turn Bluetooth off when not in use.
• Turn Wi-‐Fi off when not in use.
• Turn off the
data service
when not in use.
• Disable the GPS func[on when not in use. Most applica[ons using this func[on will
periodically query the GPS satellites for your current loca[on; each query drains your ba+ery.
Using the Touchscreen
Touchscreen Ac7ons

Touch
: Use the touch of your finger to select an item, confirm a selec[on, or start an
applica[on.

Touch and hold
: Touch an item with your finger and con[nue to press down un[l your
mobile phone responds. For example, to open the op[ons menu for the ac[ve screen, touch the
screen and hold down un[l the menu appears.

Flick
: Move your finger either ver[cally or horizontally across the screen.
•
Drag
: Touch and hold the desired item with your finger. To move an item, drag the item to
any part of the screen. You can drag an icon to move or delete it.
Home Screen
Touch and hold one of the shortcuts un[l the mobile phone vibrates, you can drag it to your
desired loca[on or move it to the trash. You can also drag a screen item to the shortcut posi[on.
Locking the Screen
• When your phone is on, press
Power Key
to lock the screen. When the screen is locked,
you can s[ll receive messages and calls.
• If your phone is idle for a while, the screen will lock automa[cally.
Notifications bar:
Displays the reminders and status icons of
your phone. Flick down to open the
notifications panel.
Display area:
Shows the operation and display
areas of your phone.
