Setup Prompt Timeout
This setting specifies the number of seconds to wait for setup activation key.
Bootup NumLock State
Ths settng s to set the Num Lock status when the system s powered on. Settng
to [On] wll turn on the Num Lock key when the system s powered on. Settng to
[Off] wll allow users to use the arrow keys on the numerc keypad.
Quiet Boot
Ths BIOS feature determnes f the BIOS should hde the normal POST mes-
sages wth the motherboard or system manufacturer’s full-screen logo.
When t s enabled, the BIOS wll dsplay the full-screen logo durng the boot-up
sequence, hdng normal POST messages.
When t s dsabled, the BIOS wll dsplay the normal POST messages, nstead
of the full-screen logo.
Please note that enablng ths BIOS feature often adds 2-3 seconds of delay to
the bootng sequence. Ths delay ensures that the logo s dsplayed for a suf-
ficient amount of time. Therefore, it is recommended that you disable this BIOS
feature for a faster boot-up tme.
Gate A20 Active
This item is to set the Gate A20 status. A20 refers to the first 64KB of extended
memory. When the Gate A20 is controlled by Port92 or chipset specific method, it
results n faster system performance. For normal performance, A20 s controlled
by a keyboard controller or chpset hardware.
