MS-S0081

Serial ATA Connector: SATA0 ~ SATA5

Ths connector s a hgh-speed Seral ATA nterface port. Each connector can

connect to one Seral ATA devce.

SATA0 and SATA1 are SATA 6Gb/s ports

while SATA2 ~ SATA5 are SATA 3Gb/s ports

Important

Please do not fold the SATA cable into a 90-degree angle. Otherwise, data loss

may occur during transmission.

MiniSAS (Serial Attached SCSI) Connector: SAS0

The SAS connector s a new generaton seral communcaton protocol for de-

vces desgned to allow for much hgher speed data transfers. It supports data

transfer speeds up to 3 Gbt/s. SAS uses seral communcaton nstead of the

parallel method found n tradtonal SCSI devces but stll uses SCSI commands

for nteractng wth SAS devces.

Each MiniSAS connector can be extended

into 4 SATA 3Gb/s ports for up to 4 SATA devices

Important

Please do not fold the SAS cable into a 90-degree angle. Otherwise, data loss
