STARTUP
ELECTRIC START
1. Turn the key switch to the “START” position to start the
engine. (Figure 17).

2. After the engine is started, take your hand off the key.
3. If the choke lever was moved to the "
CLOSED"
position
to start the engine, gradually move it to the
"OPEN"
position (Figure 18) as the engine warms up. If the
engine has not started, repeat steps 1 through 6.

4. Before the compactor is placed in to operation, run the
engine for several minutes. Check for fuel leaks, and
noises that would associate with a loose component.

NOTICE
When the engine does not start, do not run continuously
for more than five seconds. Move the key back to the
“RUN” position, then wait for about 10 seconds to
restart.
While the engine is running, never turn the key switch
to the “START” position.
5. During operation, the hour tachometer displays
"rotation number" (Figure 19).

RECOIL START
1. Grasp the starter grip (Figure 20) and slowly pull it
out. The resistance becomes the hardest at a certain
position, corresponding the compression point. Rewind
the rope a little from that point and pull out sharply.

2. When engine starts, release the starter grip and allow
the rope to recoil.
