Read-only Root File System
The pre-installed root file system is protected in a read-only partition to prevent file system crash problems
normally caused by power loss. But some directories or files, such as
/home,
/root
,
/var
,
/etc/network/
,
/etc/ppp/
,
/ect/openvpn/
, and
/etc/resolv.conf
, which need write
permission, are located in another writable partition and formatted with the EXT2 file system. You can
read/write above files or directories directly without re-mounting it.
