Level 1 and 2 Service Manual

Disassembly

Removing and Replacing the Flip Housing

1.

Remove the battery cover and battery, SIM, antenna, rear housing, transceiver 
board assembly, keypad, microphone, CLI Lens as described in the procedures.

2.

Use a T6 driver to remove the 4 bracket overshield screws from the flip 
assembly (see Figure 12). Set the screws aside for re-use.

3.

Use the disassembly tool to unlatch the flip housing on each side.

4.

When both sides of the flip housing are unlatched, lift the flip housing away 
from the flip assembly.

5.

To replace, align the bracket to the flip assembly.

6.

Slide the bracket onto the flip housing. Ensure the bracket holes align with the 
flip assembly screw bosses.
