Installing the Modem

This product is for indoor use only. Do not route the Ethernet cable outside
of the building. Exposure of the cables to lightning could create a safety
hazard and damage the product.

Connecting to a Computer

Before installing the modem, choose a location where the computer and modem are preferably
near existing cable and electrical wall outlets. Also, make sure your computer is powered OFF.

1.

Verify that the coaxial cable is connected to a cable outlet or splitter.

2.

Connect the other end of the coaxial cable to the Cable connector on the modem.
Hand-tighten the connectors to avoid damaging them.

3.

Plug the power cord into the Power port on the modem.

4.

Plug the other end of the power cord into an electrical outlet. This automatically powers ON
the modem.

5.

Connect the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on the modem.

6.

Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your computer.
The modem may automatically activate when you power ON your computer. If not, contact
your service provider for assistance.
