Displaying Your Nextel Direct Connect Number

You will see three sets of numbers that are separated by “*.” The first set of
numbers is your Area ID, the second set of numbers is your Network ID, and the
third set of numbers is your Member ID. Simply dial the full string of numbers
to connect to someone in your Direct Connect calling area.

Using the Private/Group Speaker

You can disable or enable the speaker on your i2000plus phone for Nextel
Direct Connect use. The default setting is Speaker On. When the speaker is on,
the caller’s voice can be heard over the speaker. When the speaker is off, the
caller’s voice can only be heard through the earpiece of your phone.
