• Hand-carry your MTC100 TETRA PDA in a carrying case.
• Consult the airlines first before using your MTC100 TETRA
PDA on the plane. You need to be very careful when using
electronic devices during the flight. When instructed to do so,
turn off your MTC100 TETRA PDA when on board an
aircraft. Any use of this MTC100 TETRA PDA must be in
accordance with applicable regulations per airline crew
instructions.
• If you plan to travel aboard with your MTC100 TETRA PDA,
consult your dealer for the appropriate AC adapter for use in
your country of destination.
Hospitals or Care Facility Guidelines
To avoid electromagnetic interference and/or compatibility
conflicts, disable the TETRA radio using the TXI function
within TETRA Explorer in any facility where posted notices
instruct you to turn off radio transmission equipment.
Hospitals or health care facilities may be using equipment
that is sensitive to external RF energy.
Medical Device Guidelines
Pacemakers
The Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed)
recommends that a minimum separation of 15cm (6 inches)
be maintained between a handheld MTC100 TETRA PDA
and a pacemaker.These recommendations are consistent
with those of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Persons with pacemakers should:
• ALWAYS keep the MTC100 TETRA PDA more than 15cm
from their pacemaker when the PDA is turned ON.
• Not carry the PDA in the breast pocket.
• Turn the radio OFF immediately if you have any reason to
suspect that interference is taking place.
