Installation Steps

3.1 Step 1: Install the AirDefense Server Appliance

The first step in deploying AirDefense Enterprise is to physically install the appliance in a rack and
connect the cables.

1.

Install the AirDefense Server in an equipment rack using the rails provided.

2.

Connect the AirDefense Server to the network using the 10/100 LAN port on the back panel.
(See the next section for more information.)

3.

For first-time installation, set up the AirDefense Server locally. Connect the keyboard and
monitor to the AirDefense Server, using the video and keyboard ports on the back panel.
