Installation Method
The MOTOMAN-EA1800N-A00/-A01 manipulator is available in floor-mounted (standard) and
wall-mounted types. For installation of the ceiling-mounted type, the following points are
different from the floor-mounted type.
• S-axis Operating Range
• Fixing the Manipulator Base
• Precautions to Prevent the Manipulator from Falling
(Note that ceiling-mounted type is a variant of this manipulator, and not available in the A00
and A01 types.)
3.3.1
S-axis Operating Range
The S-axis movable range of wall-mounted type manipulator shall be ±30
°

3.3.2
Fixing the Manipulator Base
The wall-mounted type manipulator shall be securely fixed with four hexagon socket head cap
screws M16 (tensile strength: 1200 N/mm
2
or more). Use a torque of 206 N

m in tightening
the screws.
3.3.3
Precautions to Prevent the Manipulator from Falling
To ensure safety, be sure to take preventive measures to the base section of wall-mounted
type manipulator against falling.
If the manipulator is to be used mounted on the wall, notify Yaskawa of such intent when
placing an order.
Also, be sure to consult with Yaskawa representative (listed on the back cover of this
instruction manual) if wall installation will be executed on site.
