5. Installation
5.1 Prior to installation please remove the motor screws fixed at the bottom of the machine. If the device needs
to be transport, reinstall the motor screws to secure motor for delivery (Fig. 1).
5.2 After removing the motor screws from the bottom of the machine, fix them in the appropriate holes (Fig. 14).
6. Operation method
6.1 Turn on the main power switch of the alginate mixer located on the backside of the machine (Fig. 2 and
Fig. 3).
6.2 Press the power button located on the control panel. The LED digital display on the operation panel will
now be lit (Fig. 4 and Fig. 5).
6.3 Press the “UP” or “DOWN” arrows to adjust and set your preferred mixing duration in seconds.
6.4 Prepare the alginate powder and water (10 °C - 20 °C) (Fig. 6) Note: Alginate setting time can be affected
by the water temperature.
6.5 Apply suggested ratio of alginate powder to water recommended by the supplier. The amount of water
added will directly affect the viscosity of the mixture.
6.6 If there is an excessive amount of alginate powder, slightly stir it by using the stirring stick (Fig. 7).
Important: make sure the cap is fully tightened before mixing! Failure to do so could result in device mal-
function or damage. If the cap cannot be fully tightened due to damage, please replace with a new cap.
6.7 Lock the cap by turning it clockwise (Fig. 8 and Fig. 9).
6.8 Place the mixing bowl into the mixing well (Fig. 10).
6.9 Close the top cover and make sure the top cover is fully closed before starting to mix.
6.10 Push the “START/STOP” button to start the mixing process. The duration will remain programmed until
manually changed (Fig. 11 and Fig. 12).
7. Setting for mixing time
7.1 The table below shows the recommended mixing time for Zhermack brand alginates.
