1. Installer Preparation

Remove and Replace Procedure
Terminal extracting tool
Needle nose pliers
Acid free solder (rosin core)
T-15, T-20 & T-30 Torx
screwdrivers Wire cutter/strippers
Assorted Screwdrivers
Assorted Nut drivers
Voltmeter
Soldering iron
Center Splice Procedure Strip and Splice Procedure
Locate the appropriate
connector. Separate the connector
ends. Remove the locking
wedge. Remove the appropriate
wire(s) by releasing the
tang inside the connector
with a terminal extraction
tool.
Insert the appropriate
EVS wire into the
cavity. Replace the
locking wedge. Plug the two connectors
back together. Insert the vehicle wire into
the appropriate cavity on
the EVS connector. Insert the locking wedge
into the EVS connector
and plug the two mating
EVS connectors together.
Strip back the wire
insulation.
Twist and solder EVS wire
onto the exposed wire.
Cover with a minimum 4
wraps of tape.
Cut wire.
Strip back insulation 1 /
2

from both ends.
Twist and solder each wire
to EVS wire harness.
Cover splice with tape
or heat shrink tubing.
