PulseNG
Kit
Cable
The
PulseNG
Sensor comes with a 2 m cable (without overbraid) with an M8 plug-in
connection (splash-proof).
Optionally available is a
PulseNG
sensor with
stainless steel overbraid (part# 720011) as well as
a 10 m extension cable without overbraid (part#
720004).
To safely and simply secure the plug-in
connections, the manufacturer recommends using
a torque wrench. Prescribed torque value: 0.4 Nm.
Attach the cable with suitable means, making sure that the insulation stays intact and
the cable is neither crimped nor kinked.
The cable has to be attached so that it will not be excessively stretched or bent. Make
sure that machine movements or vibrations do not cause splicing or friction. Leave as
much cable length hanging loose as is necessary to guarantee sufficient sag so as
not to exert any pull on the cable in the event of moving machine components.
Provide sufficient strain relief.
All prescribed and required safety precautions must be taken before mounting,
attaching, connecting or replacing a
PulseNG
sensor in the machine in order to avoid
damages to equipment or persons.
All safety instructions listed in and required to be followed by the machine
manufacturer’s operating manual must be observed, for example the support of
hanging axes.
Power Supply
The
PulseNG
sensor uses 24 V direct current voltage. The 24 V supply voltage should
be provided by a controlled, quality power supply with overvoltage protection. Without
this protection, the sensor’s performance may be compromised or the sensor and
other devices could be damaged.
Always connect PE terminal to ground.
