I-Series Indoor Gas Fireplace
Installation
WARNING
When installing the fireplace - gas lines, fittings, accesso-
ries or any other objects cannot impede the proper
movement of the door buckles.
Gas line connection
The 34FID-L Insert is supplied with a flexible gas line that uses
a ½” female flair to connect to your service. The flexible gas
line is a one time connection. If you ever have to break the
connection, you must replace the flexible gas line. There is
also a safety shutoff valve that is built in and operated when
needed used the door removal tool. Depending on your local
gas codes, you may need to provide an additional gas shut
off valve or even hard pipe the unit. In the event that you
need to hard pipe the gas supply, a union will be required.

Emergency Shut-off Valve
This appliance is equipped with a shut-off valve for use in
case of emergency. It is located on top of the appliance gas
valve and can be accessed and operated through the front
of the fireplace using the door tool. The appliance is shipped
from the manufacturer with the emergency shut-off valve in
the closed position.

Inserting door tool through the front of the fireplace
Hook the door tool into the arm of the emergency shut-off valve.
Pull the door tool towards you to open the valve and push it away
from you to close the valve.
