DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE MKI AND MKII MODELS

There exist a number of hardware differences between the MKI and MKII models of the
Monomachine. Below is a compilation of the most important differences.

DESIGN

The height of the the MKII models are 63mm including rubber feet and knobs.

The height of a SFX-6/60 MKI unit including rubber feet and knobs is 77mm.

The SFX-6 measures 975x176x77mm including knobs and rubber feet and includes a full
size 3 octave keyboard and a joystick.

POWER SUPPLY

A switched-mode power supply is used for the MKII models which allow the units to be
used all over the globe without the need of voltage converters. The SFX-60 MKI models
use an AC power supply.

The output specification of the SFX-60 MKI power supply is: 6 Volts AC, 2800mA, 50/60Hz.
The plug size of the SFX-60 MKI supply is the same as a MKII power supply.

The SFX-6 has an IEC 60320 C14 3-prong inlet to connect to a grounded main power sup-
ply using either using 115V or 230V (please see “ADDITIONAL REAR CONNECTORS,
SFX-6” on page 8
for further details)

SNR RATIO AND OUTPUTS

The S/N of the outputs on the Monomachine MKII is 100dB. The outputs of the MKII units
are also impedance balanced.

The S/N for a MKI unit outputs is 91dB and the outputs are unbalanced.

USER WAVEFORMS

The Monomachine MKII has the capability of hosting user waveforms.
