Recirculation Air Intake Filter:
The Recirculation filter will be located within the Recirculation module at the point where the air
enters the building before being ducted to the COOL-PHASE unit – see project layout drawings for
individual locations. The filter is required to ensure both the quality of the ventilation air supplied to
the room and to protect the ducting and COOL-PHASE unit from the build up of dirt. If the filter is
dirty, a replacement should be fitted as it will inhibit the performance of the system. Changing filters
regularly will extend the life of the product. G4 grade filters are fitted as standard and replacements
can be purchased directly from Monodraught. Recirculation filter will need replacing at a minimum
of every 1 year, but will depend on the buildings location & the quality of external air. The COOL-
PHASE unit should be switched off prior to filter maintenance.
7.3.
Thermal Battery Maintenance:
The Phase Change Material (PCM) is fully encapsulated to create a “Thermal Battery” and needs no
specific maintenance; it has a design life of 20 years and is guaranteed for 5 years subject to service
agreement.
