CHAPTER 8: Processing Administrative Functions

8.16:Setting Up Clerk Subtotalling (ADMIN 83)

This transaction is used to set up and change Clerk Subtotalling parame-
ters.

Your terminal must be logged on before you can access this function.

Note:

Your POS Administrative Card is required to process this transaction

Note:

If your terminals are closed more than once per day, select “A” to report

the grand total of the closed batches.
If you only close your terminals once a day, select “C”.

SELECT NAME-A GRP-B

ALL-C

To close a specific terminal, press A

To close a group of terminals, press B

To close all terminals attached to your Mer-
chant number, press C. The terminal begins
dialling.

If A was selected

MERCHANT TERM NAME

Key in the name of the terminal and press
ENTER. (This is the name that was entered in
ADMIN 80.)

If B was selected

ENTER GROUP PRE-FIX

Key in the pre-fix of the group of terminals you
wish to close and/or obtain reports for and
press ENTER.

NEXT NAME - A GRP – B

OR PROCESS LIST - C

To continue closing terminals, press A to key
in next terminal name or press C to key in the
next group name.

Once you have keyed all terminal names and/
or pre-fixes that you wish to Close, press C to
Process.
