Plate Handling System User Guide

Place the instrument on a hard, level surface. Make sure that the

power supply and USB port are accessible.

Install Softmax

Pro software version 5.3 (or later).

Attach the StakMax instrument to the reader. See

Connecting the

Baseplate on page 53

Attach the power and USB cables. See

page 57

If this is the first time connecting your StakMax instrument, you

must install the USB driver. See

Installing the StakMax® Driver on

page 61

Start the StakMax software.

Connecting the Baseplate

You must connect the StakMax system to the SpectraMax L plate reader

with the provided baseplate and mounting hardware.
