Servicing
Maintenance/cleaning
The following items (1–3) can be carried through by final users and specialised
companies:
1. Cleaning the cover grille
Dry cleaning
Vacuum-clean the cover grille in the course of the regular cleaning intervals for the
used area.
Wet cleaning
• Remove the grille from the convector and put/extend it at a place where it can
be washed. For cleaning use a commercial household cleaner and a soft wash-
ing brush (e. g. car accessories). Re-install the decorative grille after flushing and
drying.
• Only decorative roll grille: Remove existing roll grille protectors, if present. Roll up
the decorative roll grille without bending it too much. The decorative roll grille is
dishwasher-proof up to a temperature of 60°C if commercial dishwasher deter-
gents are used. After the cleaning lay the decorative roll grille down again and
install the roll grille protectors, if necessary.
2. Visual inspection
Remove the decorative grille and check the hydraulic connections. Inform a special-
ised company if water leaks are present.
3. Examination and cleaning of the air guides
Remove the decorative grille in order to clean the air
guide. Use a dry duster cloth for cleaning the air guide
areas accessible with the hands. Areas with difficult
access as e. g. the system convector trough can be
vacuum-cleaned as shown; a soft brush can support
the cleaning process. Remove adhering contamination
with a damp cloth, if necessary. After the cleaning lay
the decorative roll grille down again.
4. Cleaning of the heat exchanger
Remove the decorative grille in order to clean the heat exchanger. Use a vacuum
cleaner with corresponding nozzle or with a brush with long bristles for cleaning.
Lay the decorative roll grille down again after the cleaning.

Warning
Electrical voltage! Danger to life!
Perform all maintenance and cleaning work on system convectors only under
absence of voltage, in particular in case or moist or wet cleaning! Switch off
the corresponding fuse switches of the voltage supply.
Warning
Danger of injuries!
Ensure that no persons or animals step into or enter the open system con-
vectors during maintenance and cleaning work.
Caution
Danger of burns!
The heat exchanger can be very hot depending on its state of operation.
Always check whether the heat exchanger is hot during all maintenance and
repair work near the heat exchanger. If necessary, switch off the system con-
vector and allow it to cool down.
