6) Trial fit the tail wheel bracket assembly
to the fuselage and rudder. The nylon clasp
molded into the tiller arm should slide over the
bottom edge of the rudder. The tail wheel wire
should be parallel to the rudder hinge line and the
nylon bracket should be aligned with the center-
line of the fuselage. See photo # 17 below.

MOUNTING THE TAIL WHEEL BRACKET
o
7) While holding the tail wheel mounting
bracket aligned with the centerline of the fuse-
lage, use a pen and mark the three mounting lo-
cations onto the fuselage.
o
8) Move the mounting bracket to the side.
Using a 1/16” drill bit, drill three pilot holes through
the bottom of the fuselage at the marks you just
made.
o
9) Secure the mounting bracket in place us-
ing three 3mm x 12mm wood screws.
o
10) Hold the rudder in neutral using a couple
of pieces of masking tape. Using a 1/16” drill bit,
drill a hole through the rudder for the nylon clasp
mounting screw. Use the predrilled holes in the
clasp as a guide.
o
11) Secure the tiller arm to the rudder using
one 2.5mm x 10mm wood screw threaded
through one side of the clasp, through the rudder,
and into the opposite side of the clasp. Tighten
the screw, but do not overtighten. You don't want
to crush the wood or break the clasp. See photo
# 18 below.

1) Place the gear bracket onto the mounting
platform on the bottom of the fuselage. Align the
predrilled holes in the gear bracket with the pre-
drilled holes in the mounting platform.

2) Using a modeling knife and the landing
gear as a guide, carefully trim the fuselage sides,
small amounts at a time, until the gear bracket
sits flush onto the mounting platform. See photo
# 19 below.

3) When satisfied with the fit install the gear
bracket using the four 4mm blind nuts, four 4mm
machine screws and four 4mm flat washers. In-
stall the blind nuts up from the bottom, through
