Rectal Temperature Reading
Apply a water-
soluble lubricant to the prove cover. Gently insert the probe (Maximum ½”) into the
rectum.
Approximate measuring time: 20 seconds
NOTE: Please remember that rectal temperature is a little higher than the external temperature (
about 0.5°C or 32.9°F).
Fahrenheit or Celsius
Follow below steps to switch this thermometer between F° and C°. (Default F°)
1.
Turn of Thermometer
2.
Press and Hold the power button for 2-
3 seconds until you see ‘F°’ change to ‘C°’. The icon will blink
in the upper right corner of the display screen.

Repeat the process to change the thermometer back to its original Fahrenheit setting.
Replacing the Battery
The battery in your digital thermometer needs to be replaced when TY appears in the lower right
corner of the display. Replace the battery with a 1.55V, LR41 alkaline or SR41 silver oxide type or
equivalent.
To replace the battery,
1. Pull the battery cover away from the unit
2. Remove the battery holder
3. Use a non-metal pointed toll to remove the battery and insert the new battery with the positive
(+) side facing up.
4. Replace the battery holder
5. Carefully slide the battery cover back into place
WARNING: Please properly replace the battery away from small children and heat.
Cleaning Instructions

Before and after each use, clean the thermometer with a soft cloth and isopropyl alcohol diluted
with water, or wash with COLD soapy water. The unit can be submersed in water or alcohol (for
waterproof model only).

Do not soak for an extended period time or sterilize by boiling method, gas or steam
autoclaves
