LOCALIZING MALFUNCTION TO CABLE OR ELECTRONICS UNIT
Equipment required: VOM
1. Disconnect the sensor from the sensor cable.
2. Place the RANGE SELECTOR in the system check position.
3. Place the REG switch in the OFF position.
4. Use the VOM to check the voltages at the sensor end of the cable.
Reference the VOM to pin H (2)*
SENSOR CABLE VOLTAGE CHECKS
*Some sensor cables use number while other use letters.
5. Connect two resistors to the sensor cable as shown. This should produce a negative Full Scale ± 10% with
the RANGE SELECTOR in the System Check Position.
