BX-3 MAINTENANCE
BLADE DRESSING
DIAMOND BLADE CHANGE-OUT
Like most cutting instruments, a diamond blade performs best when it is dressed. Over time and use,
diamonds on the outer edge will become smooth or "glazed" over. This will reduce grinding efficiency
and may cause the blade to "wander" or bend, giving the illusion of an alignment problem. When this
occurs, the blade will need to be dressed. The diamond blade can be dressed using the MK Dressing
Stick (P/N 152792) and by following the steps below.
DO NOT FORCE TOOL, it will do the job better and safer at the rate for which
it was designed.

Disconnect the tool before servicing and when changing accessories, such as
blades, bits, cutters, and the like.
When installing the Retaining Screw, do not "cross-thread" and DO NOT over tighten the screw.

Set BX-3 for operation.

Remove retaining screw
and Outer Flange.
(B)
Set adjustable Cutting Guide to cut
1/16-inch strips. Position Dressing Stick
and cut until blade is dressed.
Turn OFF saw.
(B)
Remove blade from Motor Shaft.
(C)
Install blade under Blade
Guard and onto Motor Shaft.
