[9] How to use
It is a communication device enabling network communication for XC-G and PLK-G series.
By connecting using PLK-J-LAN, you can collect data of the sewing machine and so on.
XC-G (Initial setting)
1. Connect the wiring before turning on the power.

Connect the RS232C cable of PLK-J-LAN to the MINI-DIN connector on the front of the XC-G.

Connect the cable of the control switch panel (XC-G10 / XC-G500) to the CON B on the front panel
of the PLK-J-LAN.
･ Connect the network device to the CON E on the back of the PLK-J-LAN with a LAN cable.
2. Please prepare the setting data etc. in the USB flash drive. (Refer to [8] Update and setting)
3. Please connect USB flash drive to CON D on the back of PLK-J-LAN.
4. Please turn on the power supply.
(When updating system data, the LED (red) turns on and turns off after completion.)
Setting of PLK-J-LAN is completed. Please detach USB flash drive.
5. Please make necessary settings such as PLC.
(Refer to the instruction manual of equipment.)
PLK-G (Initial setting)
1. Connect the wiring before turning on the power.
･ Connect the RS232C cable of PLK-J-LAN to the MINI-DIN connector on the PLK-G front panel.
･ Connect the network device to the CON E on the back of the PLK-J-LAN with a LAN cable.
2. Please prepare the setting data etc. in the USB flash drive. (Refer to [8] Update and setting)
3. Please connect USB flash drive to CON D of PLK-J-LAN.
4. Please turn on the power supply.
(When updating system data, the LED (red) turns on and turns off after completion.)
Setting of PLK-J-LAN is completed. Please detach USB flash drive.
5. If you set it to 5 V with CON S (jumper pin) of PLK-G3-CPU, please return it to 12 V.
6. Set PAL to program mode - other [CCEN = ON]. “(*1) Setting of sewing machine is necessary”
7. Please make necessary settings such as PLC.
(Refer to the instruction manual of equipment.)
(*1) PLK-G only supports system version S100W018 or later of the sewing machine main body.
After confirming the version of the sewing machine main body, in case of sewing machines of
S100W017 or earlier, update the latest system.
