[8] Update and setting
In order to use PLK-J-LAN, update LAN system data as needed and set IP address etc. using USB flash
drive.
* When setting only the IP address etc. please put the setting data in the USB flash drive.
(LAN system data is unnecessary.)
What the user needs to prepare

Please create a folder of "MAKER" in the USB flash drive and enter the setting data file "IP.PLK" of the
IP address, subnet mask, default gateway.
Setting data can be created by dedicated PC application "IPEdit".
* Please refer to the dealer for PC application.
When update system data

Please create a folder of "LAN_SYSTEM" in the USB flash drive and enter the LAN system data file.
* Please refer to the dealer for LAN system data.
Please use the latest LAN system data.
Please check the following folder in the USB flash drive.
Folder name Required data
USB flash drive LAN_SYSTEM APP_DATA (LAN system data)
MAKER IP.PLK (setting data)
(IP address, subnet mask, default gateway)
* For the necessary setting of PLC etc. please refer to the manual of the used model.
(1) How to Update and setup.
Connect the USB flash drive to the PLK-J-LAN, including
LAN system data and setting data.
When power is turned on, update and setup will start
automatically.
The front panel LED (red) lights up during update.
(2) How to check system and setting information of PLK-J-LAN.
The system and setting of PLK-J-LAN can be confirmed from the file of "LAN-UNIT.TXT" in the
USB flash drive.
Please confirm after update and setting PLK-J-LAN.
After connecting the USB flash drive to the PLK-J-LAN and turning on the power,
the file of "LAN-UNIT.TXT" is automatically saved in the USB flash drive.
