3. Use a soft bristle brush (plastic bristles, such as
nylon) to remove all traces of blood and debris.
4. Rinse the instrument thoroughly with warm,
85°F – 104°F (30°C – 40°C), tap water.
5. Pay particular attention to flushing the lumens,
holes, any hard to reach areas, textured surfaces,
or crevices with warm, 85°F – 104°F (30°C – 40°C),
tap water.
6. Ultrasonically clean the device components for ten
(10) minutes in a neutral pH detergent, prepared in
accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
7. Rinse the device components with warm,
85°F – 104°F (30°C – 40°C), tap water for a
minimum of one minute until visual evidence of
debris, soil, and cleaning solution are gone.
8. Dry the device components immediately after final
rinse with a clean towel or compressed air until
visibly dry.
Femoral Rod:
1. Use a soft bristle brush (plastic bristles, such as
nylon) to remove all traces of blood and debris.
2. Use a 3x 200mm tight-fitting, soft lumen brush
(plastic bristles, such as nylon) to scrub the lumen.
Push in and out, using a twisting motion to remove
debris. Use a 50ml syringe filled with enzymatic
cleaning solution to flush the lumen.

Manual Pre-Cleaning Instructions
• Flush internal areas with a warm detergent solution.
Pay close attention to lumens, cannulations, holes,
threads, crevices, seams, and any difficult to
reach areas. While flushing, actuate any moveable
mechanisms, (hinged joints, box locks, or spring-
loaded features), to free trapped blood and debris.
