Your Steam Iron

Before using your new Steam Iron, it is important
that you read and follow the instructions in this
booklet, even if you feel that you are quite
familiar with this type of appliance. Find a place
to keep this booklet handy for future reference.

Your attention is drawn to the section dealing
with Important Safeguards.

This appliance has been designed to operate
from a standard domestic power socket. It is not
intended for industrial or commercial use.

Before First Use

When using the iron for the first time, test it on an
old piece of fabric to ensure that the soleplate
and water tank are completely clean. When
using the iron for the first time, you may notice a
slight emission of smoke and hear some sounds
made by the expanding plastics. This is quite
normal and it stops after a short time.
